30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening
Bible Reading: Psalm 57
Lord, we cry out to You for awakening all throughout the world, in every nation, in every heart. Awaken us to You. Long have we lulled ourselves to sleep by the hum of our own pride, with our backs to walls we’ve built to block You out. But now, Lord, break through. Penetrate our clouded minds with the clarity of Your voice. Shake us awake. Humble us with Your love and grace. Give every person such a clear and present encounter with Almighty God that we cannot deny You alone are the One we must worship. Bend our knees and press our faces to the ground. May we bow at last to our Creator, the One this life is for. Show us Your glory. Show us Your power. Show us Your mercy. Show us Your love. Give us a deep, deep longing for You that unsettles us. Make us uncomfortable with everything we have sought that is not You. Burn within us an ache for the more we were created for, and then move in swiftly to satisfy that longing with You. Equip us with understanding to grasp how wide, how long, how high and how deep is the love of the One who pursues us so relentlessly.
Tell us the story of Your love through the ages, how You created us for relationship with You—to know You, to feel Your great love for us, to enjoy You, and to love others through Your love.
Peace. Joy. Hope. Purpose. Oneness with You.
This is the abundant life You came to give.
Tell us of Adam and Eve, the fall of man, and how we, too, fall short of Your glory because of our sin. We deserve death, but You came to give us life. O Father, forgive us. We don’t deserve Your grace, and yet You freely give it. Show Yourself strong and fight on our behalf.
Truth, speak to us now in a way we can clearly understand. Topple every lie we have accepted as truth, and set us free to worship You alone. Show us the beauty of Christ, this innocent and perfect Lamb of God who died in our place so we could be reconciled to You, and then rose again to give us new life.
Grant us faith and courage to believe in You. To make Your Word our guide for daily life. To follow Christ’s example and love sacrificially. Touch us so powerfully we cannot deny You. Fill our dreams with You. Push out every influence that seeks to distract us, and distract us instead with You.
Flood our homes, our work spaces, our lives with messages of Your love. Set our hearts on fire for You, O God. May we burn with passion to know You and to spread Your love to others so they can love You, too. Bring Christians into our lives who will challenge us to deeper depths with You and show us what Your true love looks like. Shine so brightly through Your church that all will see Your light, no matter how far away we have felt, and be drawn into the warmth of Your embrace. Forever.
When we cry out to You, hear us, O God, and save us. Don’t let even one more day go by without us knowing You are here. You see us. You know us. You love us. Give us hope. Break us free from the chains the enemy has tried to bind us with to keep us from You, and demolish the walls of our spiritual prisons. Draw us out into the Light. Into freedom. Into that place where You are the firm foundation we stand upon, the life-giving air we we breathe, our every thought, our one desire, our everything. Awaken our hearts to You, O God. Today and forever.

Parallel Prayer: Our 30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening coincides with Ramadan. April 2-May 1, Muslims throughout the world are fasting and seeking God right now. Let’s pray they find Him!
On this last day of Ramadan, we ask You, Father, to rise up in all of Your glory and show Your Son to every Muslim who is seeking You all throughout the world. Reveal Yourself to them in a way they can’t deny. Give them a clear presentation of Your Gospel, and save them, Lord. Draw whole Muslim communities into Your love and grace, and protect those who choose You as Lord and Savior from persecution and harm. Give them favor with those around them, and use them as Your mouthpieces to share the Good News in every corner of the Muslim world. Bring forth a great awakening in the heart of every Muslim, until all have turned to You, worshipping Your Son as the Savior of the world. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.
