30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening
Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 7:14
Father, we come before You together as one to cry out for Your love to sweep across this nation, awakening every heart to You. Give every person a hunger for You so desperate they will lay down all their distractions for the one pursuit of You. Steal into every home and life all across the USA and beyond, filling it with Your presence and removing every hindrance that sets itself up against the knowledge of You. Get up in our face. Invade our space. Speak to us so loudly we will not miss what You say. Lead us to repentance, fear of the Lord, surrender, salvation, freedom, and new life in You. Rescue the perishing. Heal the lame and sick. Save the lost. Raise the dead. Give sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf. Perform signs and miracles and wonders to show Your great power and unending love. Steal into our dreams. Teach us from Your Word. Bring true followers of Christ into our paths to light up every corner of darkness with Your love. Reignite us with faith, hope, and passion for You. Empower Christians to think, speak and act as one with You and with each other. Meet every person, O Lord, in such powerful encounters we will feel truly found by You. For those who are trapped in abusive situations, shield them, O God, and make a way for their escape and healing. For the abusers, block them every time they seek to harm others. Convict them of sin so severely, they fall to their knees before You in repentance and call upon You to save them and transform them. For those who are in government, universities, schools, religion, the arts, movie-making and other spheres of influence, do not relent, O God, in Your pursuit of their souls. Speak to them all throughout the day and night. Make Your Gospel message and every portion of Your Word make sense in such loud ways that they will lay down their agendas to follow only Yours. Wherever there is common agreement with lies, break it apart. Devastate such unity. Expose and demolish every lie that binds the multitudes together to rage against what is right and good, and turn those bent on evil to attack each other instead. Stop the violence. Stop the hate against those who stop violence. Give favor, protection and resources to all those who seek to bless and protect. Place teachers in every school who are followers of Christ, who will love their students and fight for their sanity, protection and salvation. Pass laws that guard our children and the unborn from those who wish to destroy their lives. Don’t let us stand idly by while the enemy spreads his evil plans. But raise up an army of prayer warriors, evangelists, pastors, leaders and youth—passionate followers of Christ who will share Your Word widely and pave the way for those who are caught in bondage to be set free. Set our own hearts free from the thought processes that bind us to anxiety, fear, depression, anger, busyness, pride, lust, control, overeating, self-loathing and every other stronghold. Soften hearts that have been hardened, tear down walls that have been built against You, and fight for those who have wandered from Your love seeking satisfaction in what can never satisfy. Remind us that we were created for relationship, that receiving Your great love for us, loving You back, and loving others through the power of Your love is what this life is about. Take over our schedules. Modify our agendas to put You first. Call us into our quiet times and open up Your Word to just the right passages each day to give us the ammunition we need to defeat the enemy. Mend broken marriages and families. And awaken this nation to Your love, O God. Don’t let even one heart go one more day without feeling Your hand upon us calling us into Love and Truth.

Parallel Prayer: Our 30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening coincides with Ramadan. April 2-May 1, Muslims throughout the world are fasting and seeking God right now. Let’s pray Muslims residing in the US (or in the country where you live) to find Him!
Lord, please awaken the heart of every Muslim in the US (or my country of residence) to Your love. Give them courage to lay down their traditions and to brave whatever retribution comes upon them from family, mosque and community in order to seek You with all their hearts and find You. Bring loving, caring Christians into their path to show them what You are like and to share with them Your Good News. Show us ways we can reach out to our Muslim neighbors and give us favor with them. Raise up loving churches to come alongside refugees from countries like Afghanistan and Somalia to provide for their needs, help them learn English, share Your Good News, and love them into Your arms. Lift the veil from their eyes so they will see You as You truly are. For those Muslims who are ashamed of the violence and terror so many who claim Islam adhere to, give them courage and wisdom to help prevent such attacks when they know about them, and to seek the God of Love, so that when they find You, they can share Your Good News with others in their community who also want peace, love and joy. For those who are involved in evil plots, Lord, stop them in their tracks. Appear to them in ways they will recognize You, and strike them with such fear of the Lord that they fall to their knees before You in repentance. In Your name. Amen.
Dinner and a Prayer: Go out to eat or choose your favorite foods from the country where your family resides. Talk about problems in your country, especially barriers to the Gospel, and spend time in prayer asking for revival.
