30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening
Bible Reading: Exodus 19:4
Because of organized crime and corruption, two of these nations are counted within the most dangerous in the world for those who seek to follow Christ.
Lord, we cry out to You for the peoples spread all across South America, Central America and the neighboring islands. March into these lands with your armies of Light and demolish the enemy’s work. Have mercy, Father, on the millions who struggle from poverty and abuse. For those who are trapped in harmful situations, be their Shield, O God. Rescue the innocent, make a way for their escape, and heal them. Guide them to Christians who will hide them, protect them, care for their needs, and love them into Your arms. Get up in the face of every person bent on evil, and demolish their plans with Yours. Open their eyes to see Your angels and You standing there before them blocking their way. Give them such a fear of the Lord and a longing for peace that they will fall on their knees before You in repentance and never return to their evil deeds. Transform their hearts, Lord, with Your infinite mercy and grace. Give them new hearts overflowing with the glorious streams of Your lavish love. Use these transformed lives to open the way for those who are suffering to at last be free, for those who are hungry to at last have plenty, and for those who need You to at last know You personally.
Show Yourself strong, O God, and do something new in this region. Mark it for Your glory. Destroy the cartels from the inside out. Convert so many from within their ranks to join Yours that they crumble entirely. Bring about the fall of every despot. Shout loudly to them that You alone are King. Raise up in their stead leaders who love You and love others, who will bless their countries and lead them to You.
Father, more than 100 unreached people groups live in this region. Please continue to mobilize and protect the paths of Christians with a heart for these tribes who will take Your Good News to them and translate the Bible into their languages. You have already begun this work in huge measures, Lord. We ask You now to finish it. May every person all across the Americas and the Caribbean hear Your Good News in a way they can easily understand and see Your arms of love spread wide to receive them. Tear down walls of syncretism, spirit worship, idolatry, false religion, and in-fighting among denominations. Lift the veil from the eyes of every person, so they will no longer see You through lenses of tradition, judgment, fear, culture, or hypocrisy, but will at last see You as You truly are: Lord. Father. Savior. Healer. Friend. Provider. Protector. The One who sees them and loves them. The One who has a hope and a future prepared for them. The One who whispers their name in their darkest hour, who lifts them from the miry clay and carries them on Eagle’s wings to Himself.
Father, please set hearts free from sexual strongholds, alcohol and drug addictions, control, pride, anger and every other stronghold. Mend marriages. Make churches and Christians beacons of Truth known for their love. Guard every fervent believer from harm, O God. Put Your angels around their homes and protect their families. Provide for all their needs and bless them so abundantly, they will also abundantly bless others, sharing Your love not only in words but in action. Set apart this generation to burn with holy fire for You, braving every danger to share Your Gospel with the addicts, the broken, the homeless, the seekers, the hurting and those who cause such hurt. Empower every believer with Your Spirit to step out in humility and love, shining so brightly with all the fruit of the Spirit that everyone around them longs to know You like they do.
Awaken those who are spiritually sleeping to come alive to Your touch. Perform signs and wonders and miracles and healings to draw all people to You. Meet them in their dreams. Talk to them throughout the day. Overturn everything the enemy has meant for evil, and bring forth great good. Do something new in this region, Lord, and mark it for Yourself, awakening every heart to You and catching them on fire. Rise like the Dawn across all these lands, flooding them with the colors of Your love, grace and salvation.

Although Muslims are few in Latin America and the Caribbean, we don’t want to leave even one heart unprayed for. Please surround every Muslim in this region with Christians who will love them into Your arms. We pray for Hispanic Christians serving You in Morocco and the Middle East. Send more missionaries from Latin America, Lord of the Harvest. Protect them, empower them, and lead many to You through them. Watch over their families and the churches they have planted, protecting them from persecution and harm. Hide them from those who wish to do them evil, and supply all their needs. Lord, so many sending churches are so very poor in Latin America. Bless mission-minded churches abundantly, sending out well-funded workers, so other churches will be encouraged to step out in faith and do the same.
Dinner and a Prayer: If you want to deepen your family’s prayer adventure, search the internet to choose recipes from Argentina, Uruguay, Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Mexico, Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Ecuador, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Belize, Dominican Republic, St. Vincent/Grenadines, Cayman Islands, Cuba, St. Kitts/Nevis, Saint Lucia, Antigua/Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Trinidad/Tobago, Grenada, Haiti, and/or Jamaica. You can also have your children research some of these countries to find the barriers to the Gospel, and then share those together with the family for prayer.
