30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening
Bible Reading: Isaiah 51
Lord, the Middle East has seen much violence and war, leaving orphans, widows, refugees and so many others in need. Please get to safety every person who is in danger, and do it in a way that they know it is You. Block the violence. Rescue the vulnerable. Heal the hurting. Comfort those who have lost loved ones. And please, Father, have mercy on the nearly 200 million people in this region still unreached because the walls of religion have blocked out the Gospel in the very area where Your feet walked. Due to Islamic oppression, most of these countries are ranked among the most dangerous places in the world to follow Christ. Please tear down every wall the enemy has built to keep people from knowing the truth about Your love. Right now, Muslims are halfway through their Ramadan time of fasting and seeking Allah. Show up in dreams and visions, telling them the truth of who Jesus is and inviting them to be saved. When the imams reach for the Quran to read it in front of those gathered to pray, place a Bible there in its place. You have done that before during Ramadan, Lord. Do it again now. Push out the enemy’s forces, fill the places of prayer with Your presence, and speak to them in miraculous ways to convict them of sin and convince them of Your truth. Break the chains that bind them. Set them free to know You. Give Muslims a hunger for You so desperate they will search for You with all their hearts and find You. Jeremiah 29:13. Provide internet access to connect seekers to Christian websites, believers, and the Bible in their language. Present to them the Gospel in a way they can easily understand. Place Christians in their path who will love them into Your arms. Father, the underground church in these countries faces so much persecution. Please hide their meeting places from those who wish to do them harm. Be a Shield around every Christian and their family, guarding them from evil attacks. Raise up persons of peace who will warn believers of danger, hide them and keep them safe. Provide for Christians’ needs so abundantly they will have more than enough to share with their lost neighbors. Open up protected opportunities for those who love You to share Your Good News with the lost, and empower them with Your Spirit so those who listen will know You are real and You are the One they have been looking for. Assign Your angel armies to fight for believers and arrange their rescue from harm’s way. When the enemy comes against them, show up so brightly, so clearly, so visibly and miraculously, persecutors will be blinded by Your light, even as Paul was, and fall on their faces before You in fear of the Lord and in worship of the only One who is worthy. Father, we also pray for the people group in this area that You set aside for Yourself 4,000 years ago, but who have not acknowledged Your Son as Messiah. Give them a hunger for truth, and then take them on a search for that truth that leads them to Jesus. Give both Jews and Muslims, and even tribal peoples in this region courage to lay down their traditions and surrender to You as their Savior. Invade their hearts with Your peace, set them free from their strongholds, empower them with Your love, and shine Your light so brightly through every person who chooses You as King that those in darkness will be drawn to You like moths to a flame. Increase Your church miraculously by the millions all throughout this region, Lord. For every Christian persecuted for their faith, bring 1,000 lost people to You. Awaken the Middle East to Truth.
Parallel Prayer: Our 30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening coincides with Ramadan. April 2-May 1, Muslims throughout the world are fasting and seeking God right now. Let’s pray they find Him!
Because this region is mostly Muslim, why not fast today from dawn until sunset, like Muslims are every day this month? Each time you feel hungry throughout the day, ask the Lord to give Muslims in the Middle East a deep hunger for the Bread of Life, and to seek Him with all their hearts and find Him.
Lord, in this region where Muslims are at war with Jews and even with other Muslims, where Christians are in danger of arrest, torture and death, where people are starving because of war, and children are forced into armies that care nothing for their welfare but use them to murder others, … O, please, God, have mercy. By Your might, by Your power, open the way for those who long for a Savior to find You. Be a Shield around every Christian, church and seeker of You. Protect them from persecution, illness, starvation or other harm. Get the Gospel to those who need it, and bring Christians into their path, empowered by Your Spirit to show Your love in true ways. Multiply Your church by the thousands all throughout this region, Lord. For every Christian that is persecute, bring 1,000 more to faith. For every church that is raided, plant 1,000 more. Bring forth a great revival in every Middle Eastern country such as never before. Now, before it’s too late for those who are dying without knowing Your love.

You can also have your children research some of these countries to find the barriers to the Gospel, and then share those together with the family for prayer.
