30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening
Bible Reading: John 4:23-24
Father, more than 100 unreached people groups live in the area of Eastern Europe. We ask You to please make a way for Your Gospel message to get into their communities, homes and hearts. Grant each person access to the Bible and to Your message of love and truth in a language they can easily understand. Give the lost a hunger for You that drives them to search for You and find You. Stir within them a need for something more than what they’ve been living for, and then open their eyes to see that You are the One they’re longing for. Thank You, Father, for the beginnings of revival among churches in Eastern Europe since the fall of Communism. We ask You for more, Lord. Break through religious tradition and bring forth deep oneness with You. We cry out to You for a Great Awakening to surge throughout this whole region, expelling secularism and all other dark forces that have sought to keep these peoples of many languages and cultures from Your light. Fill that whole area with Your angel armies and crush every hold the enemy has on people’s hearts. Give each person a longing for You, a yearning for the more they were created for. When they cry out to You, answer them. Perform signs and miracles and healings and wonders to draw them to You. Let them see Your love in everything You do and long to lay down every idol and love only You. Give Christians a heart for the lost around them. Meet them in powerful ways in their quiet times and transform their hearts, setting them free from every stronghold that has been holding them back from intimacy with You. Give them boldness to step across barriers and share Your love with those who need You. When disaster hits, pour out Your blessings on Christians in extravagant measures, and then take those provisions through the Christians to those who need them and need You. Let every message of truth be passed on with lavish love. Empower believers to step out of their comfort zones and create a new culture of oneness with Christ and with each other. Whenever they are ridiculed for their faith, shine Your love and grace and joy so fully through them that nonbelievers will be drawn to You like moths to a flame. Put into place in every government those who will bless and not harm, who will open up doors that have been shut to Your Gospel, and free the people to truly be free. May the peoples of Eastern Europe worship You, Father, in Spirit and in Truth.
Parallel Prayer: Our 30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening coincides with Ramadan. April 2-May 1, Muslims throughout the world are fasting and seeking God right now. Let’s pray they find Him!
Lord, please awaken the hearts of Muslims living in Slovenia, Czechia, Poland, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Albania, North Macedonia, Greece, Kosovo, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and/or Belarus. Draw them into Your love, and give them a hunger so fierce that they search for You on the internet, in churches, among Christians they know, and find You. Tear down every wall of religion, prejudice, tradition or fear, and give them courage to choose You, Jesus, for only You can give them Life. You are the only Way they will know the love, peace and joy they are searching for, for only You are Truth. Empower them to lay down their Koran and pick up a Bible. Make Bibles easily accessible to them, Lord, and bring whole families and communities to faith in Christ. Let them see You do miracles and wonders, but mostly, let them see Your love. For extravagant, I-lay-my-life-down-for-you love speaks loudest. In Your name. Amen.
