30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening
Bible Reading: Psalm 22:27-28
Matthew 24:14 (NIV) says, “This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” We are living in an age now where the internet, modern transportation and so many other factors make it possible for the Good News to reach into places it’s never been before.
Lord, turn all nations to You. Touch every heart all across this earth in powerful ways. Find those who feel hidden and forgotten. Reveal Your love so powerfully to them, they will feel Your acceptance like a river rushing over them, inviting them into Your forever embrace. Guide them into churches and into the paths of Christians who will love them to You. We speak “Acceptance now, in the name of Jesus,” over the rejected ones, “For you are wonderfully and beautifully made. Your Creator made you for special purposes, and everything He does is perfect and good. Step into His arms and receive His love. Surrender to Him and you will find peace and joy such as you never imagined. He is the One you’ve been looking for. Only He can fill your empty spaces. Any other substance is a fraud.” For those who are addicted, set them free, Lord. Lead them to places where they can get help, and give them courage to follow through to freedom. Become their One thing, their Everything, so they no longer seek what destroys, but only the One who is Life. John 10:10, 14:6. Father, for those who have been misguided, turn them around now. Topple everything they were following that cannot save, and save them like only You can. Give them eyes to see You, ears to hear You, enlightenment to understand Your scripture, and spiritual sensitivity to feel Your touch and run away from wrong. Reach into every community all across this world, and do such marvelous works in plain sight that everyone will start talking about You. May Your fame spread far and wide, and Your glory fill this whole earth like the waters cover the sea. Become the talk of the town everywhere people go and all over the internet. Make it easy for the lost to find You and the saved to grow in You. Raise up Christian leaders to grow Your church all across the world, and righteous men and women to step into positions of leadership for the nations. Topple evil regimes and bring peace to every war. Steal into every home and every heart and awaken them with Your love. Meet people in their dreams. Give them visions from Your heart. Drive them to open their Bibles with such voracious hunger that they won’t want to put it down and will carry it with them everywhere they go, talking about You with everyone they meet. Topple every lie with Your truth, and set the captives free, Lord, until Your name is praised in every nation, town, home, and heart all across this world.
Parallel Prayer: Our 30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening coincides with Ramadan. April 2-May 1, Muslims throughout the world are fasting and seeking God right now. Let’s pray they find Him!
Lord, as Muslims all throughout the world fast and seek You this month, set them on the road to find You, and do not let them be deterred. Take away their peace when they read the Koran or pray in the temple, and give them an urgency to search out what is truly truth. Then set roadsigns all along their path to find You, and open doors to Your Gospel constantly, until they hear Jesus’ name so many times, simultaneous with Love, that they finally understand who You are, and surrender to Your grace. Put Bibles into their hands so they can read for themselves Your story of salvation. And when they read John 3:16, grip them to the core. Make a way for them to find Christians who have been where they’ve been and can share with them what a difference You’ve made in their lives. Open up every door, Lord. Make a way where there seems to be no way for Your Good News to enter every heart, every home, every community, every mosque, every nation. In Your name. Amen.
Dinner and a Prayer: If you want to deepen your family’s prayer adventure, cook their favorite international recipes for dinner, and have your children research those countries and present that research at the meal. Then pray for those countries, and for missionaries all throughout the world.
