30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening
Bible Reading: Revelation 7:9-10
Let’s pray for those who are cut off from the Gospel because there is no way for them to hear it yet in their heart language.
Lord, we cry out to You today for the 1.5 billion people (mostly in Asia) whose 6,656 languages still have no Bible. Nearly 4,000 of those languages have no Scripture portions at all. But You speak their language, Father. Awaken their hearts and call them to Yourself. Meet them in their dreams and speak to them clearly throughout the day. Make a way for them to hear Your truth such that they will easily understand. Give them a hunger and thirst for You so great they will seek You far and wide until they find You. Awaken them to Your truth and love. Become the talk of the town in the market places. Draw seekers into those places where they will hear Your Good News and then take it back to their villages. Even if they hear it in another language not their own, open their ears to understand, their eyes to see You, and their hearts to believe in You. So many times in history You have prophesied to a hidden people, and then fulfilled that prophecy so powerfully that whole tribes have turned to You. Do it again, Lord. Now. In our time. As the end draws near. Tear down every language barrier now, Lord, and draw all peoples to Yourself. Make a way for Your Word to be translated into every language across this earth. Raise up Christians with a heart for that people group who will learn their language and live among them, translating Scripture, sharing Your truth, and living out Your love so powerfully that a church planting movement will begin among them. Prepare even now the persons of peace from every language who will receive Your Good News with joy and influence others to believe in You, as well. Don’t leave a single person anywhere on this globe without access to Your Word in their heart language. May Your kingdom come, and may every tribe, tongue and language bow at Your throne in worship.

Lord, today we ask You for those Muslim groups who still do not have a Bible in their heart language. Make a way for Your Word to be translated and made available to them in such a way that they can easily understand. So many of these are living in countries where Christians are persecuted and sharing or believing in Christ is punishable by imprisonment, torture or death. Open the way, Lord, for them to hear Your Good News in a language they understand. Bring Christians to them who can share in a way that makes sense to their every situation. Give the lost such a hunger for You they will do what it takes to find You. Meet them in their dreams. Show them Your love, Your healing power, Your grace. And draw them up into Your arms like only You can. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.
Dinner and a Prayer: If you want to deepen your family’s prayer adventure, go to the JoshuaProject map and click on a country. Look for the red dots, and check out the language column. Then go to Find.Bible and search that language name to see if a Bible exists in that language or not. This is a fun activity for your children to help them gain a heart for the unreached. Once you find some languages with no Bible, search the internet for recipes by that people group that you can cook for supper, or just cook a recipe from that country, if you can’t find one. Have family members research some about that people group’s customs, beliefs, etc. Talk about what some barriers to the Gospel might be, and then pray for that people group, asking God to raise up Bible translators. Some menu ideas: Abkhazian Khachapuri, Kudmali chicken and tomatoes.
