O Lord, please have mercy. Through the devastation of war and violence, hunger and terror, death and separation, so many children are growing up without a childhood. By Your mighty and merciful hand, please bring salvation, healing and wholeness to families broken apart by excessive trauma, especially in countries like Yemen, Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan, and much of Africa. Greater than their need for food and safety, O God, is their need for You. Please introduce Yourself in powerful ways to every person who does not yet know You. Show them Your love. Offer them Your grace. For You, O Lord, are our only Hope. You provide shelter for the homeless, family for the orphan, love for the outcast, healing for the broken, food for the hungry, water for the thirsty; but most of all, salvation and mercy to set us free from the bondage of sin and death. O Father, so many in these nations have never heard Your Son’s name. They don’t know of His sacrifice, how He so lovingly laid down His life as an atonement for our sin so we can be free. They’ve never experienced Love like this, like You. And they hunger and thirst for that kind of love more than food and water. They long for the kind of protection only You, Heavenly Father, can give. O Bread of Life, come and satisfy their every longing. Make a way for them to hear Your Good News and be saved. O Living Water, rush through their land, flooding every home and every heart and mind with Truth and Love. Cleanse and mend what has been hurt and broken. Bind up their wounds, break their chains, free the captives. Wherever there is pain and sorrow, comfort and complete them. Wherever there is hopelessness, be their Hope. Wherever there is homelessness, be their Home. Bring entire families to You all at once, transforming their hearts and minds through Your love, like only You can. Make a way for them to receive Your Word, to meet loving Christians, to join a church, to grow, to be discipled, and to share Your Good News with all the more who also are hurting and in need of a Savior. Bring back together families that have been separated. Save and rescue those who are in danger and return them home. From all the tragedy, O God, bring forth good. Awaken the nations to You. Awaken every heart, every family, every parent, every child, every husband, every wife, every estranged one. Bring an end to the wars and make families whole once again like only Your love flowing through them can. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
