At least 175 fires in the past week have burned nearly 95,000 acres across the state of Texas.
Lord, please stop the fires. Dowse the land with rain today and bring relief. Be a Shield around every firefighter and give them wisdom to know how to contain the fires. Comfort families who have lost homes and property, and especially the family of the deputy who died. Draw near to every person, and let them feel Your presence, hear Your voice, and place their trust in You. Bring Christians around them to comfort them and share Your Good News, to help them rebuild their lives and know the God who offers them salvation, joy and hope for the future. From out of the ashes, bring forth Awakening, Lord. May those who have resisted Your touch now turn to You and gladly receive Your mercy and love. Rebuild their homes and lives on the sure foundation of Your love. In Your name. Amen.
