More than 3 million refugees have fled Ukraine now, at least 1.5 million of them children. Amidst the mayhem, about 5000 Ukrainian children are unaccounted for. Orphans or others sent across borders unaccompanied by a parent are especially vulnerable to human traffickers and sex offenders. Let’s pray.
Lord, we ask You, please, to be a Shield around every child. Assign Your angel armies to watch over them and get them to safety. Raise up Christians and others to help them and watch out for them all along the way. Meet them in their distress, O God, and comfort them with Your love. Let them feel Your presence, hear Your voice and follow Your guidance every moment. Open up easy avenues for Christians and other caring families to adopt orphans quickly. Divinely guide that whole process, Father, placing each orphan in just the loving, caring home You have for them. Raise up Christian counselors who will pray with them, love them and help them to healing from the trauma they have experienced. Open up clear channels for refugees to hear Your plan of salvation. Thwart every evil plan and cast out fear with Your love. Arrange for the arrest, conviction and imprisonment of every trafficker and sex offender, and shut down the trafficking rings before they can do any more harm. Father, You know where every one of the lost children are. Please rescue them. Even now, shield them from abuse and make the way for their escape. Block every evil advance against them, and do it in such a powerful way that evildoers will be struck with fear of the Lord and cry out to You to be saved. Get up in every abuser’s face and invite them to grace. Haunt them in their dreams at night and with power encounters with the Living God throughout the day. Bring them to their knees in repentance, and transform their hearts; then use those You have redeemed to help victims to safety and lead criminals to faith in Christ. May Your kingdom come, Lord, in Ukraine, across borders and in the hearts of every person affected by this war. Awaken the world to Your love.
