“God is bringing miracles here,” said Nastya, a young believer in Kharkiv, Ukraine. “One recent story was from a soldier who called his parents to explain how they won a battle. An iron curtain of planes moved toward the Ukrainian army, but suddenly, lightning appeared, and all the Russian aircraft disappeared. The Ukrainian army stood in amazement.
“I feel that we are like the first church in Acts because we pray constantly and God shows us something, and we are all united in one spirit.” Nastya, who wrote a song on her makeshift bed beneath a table, as bombs blasted all around, urges Christians around the world to “Pray for us to be courageous and bold until the end, because sometimes it’s difficult to be stable emotionally and physically, because we don’t know what is going to happen, but we want to be strong.”

Prayer matters. Not all these accounts are verified, but some sources have reported God’s protection, provision and rescue of those in danger, missiles exploding in the air and never reaching the ground, communications going down so that Russian orders can’t be passed, guns jamming up, entire caravans of tanks running out of gas and bogging down in mud, soldiers getting confused and asking Ukrainians for directions….
Let’s continue praying to the One who is still in control that He will use what the enemy means for evil to bring about a great awakening of hearts turning to the Lord.*
Lord, we ask You for abundant miracles daily. Close up the skies by Your own mighty hand so that no planes make it through to bomb Ukrainian targets, especially civilian. March in Your angel armies to swipe missiles from the sky and bullets from the air. Shield those in harm’s way. Bog down every Russian tank. Dry up all their gas. Jam up every gun aimed at the people of Ukraine. Confuse every enemy order so that no targets are destroyed. May every Russian soldier and their commanding officers visibly see Your angels blocking their way, and drop their weapons in fear of the Lord. May whatever Russian generals are left (since two have fallen already) see Your hand coming down upon them and fall to their knees in repentance. Have mercy on those invading Ukraine by giving them each a personal experience with Christ. Acts 9. Bring upon the Russian army a sickness of body and heart, a remorseful nausea for killing so many innocent people, such that they drop their weapons, leave all their tanks, and desert en masse. Provide the way of escape for every Russian soldier who seeks to defect. Bring Christians to them to share Your Good News. May this place where they have brought so much death become the place where they find LIFE. Bring a swift end to the war in such a way that the whole world is struck with fear of the Lord and millions come to faith. As Christians gather together to pray and worship, let the lost both far and near hear their songs of faith and be drawn into the warmth of Your presence. Empower Your church to thrive and grow in strength, faith, hope, love and in numbers. Shield Christians and their families and neighbors from harm. Provide food in abundance, heat, clean water and shelter, so they can bless those in need. Give the lost such a hunger for You that they will seek out Christians to tell the Your Good News. When they cry out to You, answer them and save them in miraculous ways.
