We’ve been praying for Ukraine and the world, but is your family or someone you know also facing a battle of their own at this time?
We have a real enemy (Ephesians 6:12, 1 Peter 5:8) who operates a lot like the one Ukraine is facing now. Lies, justifying sin, stepping over boundaries, wearing us down with constant attacks, and finally all-out war.
If your family or someone you love is in a battle with depression, divorce, sin addiction or something else that comes to mind as you read this, you know what I mean.
Let’s pray John 10:10 today over our families, the nations in conflict, and others we know who are struggling:
Lord, thank You, because to every area of our lives where the enemy strives to steal, kill and destroy, You promise abundant life. John 10:10. So, we speak now, in Your name, LIFE over our children, our marriages, our bodies, our homes, our future, our finances, our ministries, our decisions, and our relationships. We ask You, Lord, to tear down every scheme of the enemy to steal our joy, destroy our families and marriages, and kill our love and our witness. Be a Shield around us, and fill us with Your Spirit. Transform our hearts, and show us the breaches in our walls, the cracked doors and the wide open ones where we have allowed the enemy to slip in to do his dirty work. Show us the ways we’ve given the enemy room to plant lies and build strongholds, and then give us the ammunition for freedom — the “dynamite” truth from Your heart and Your Word that blows up every lie — so we and our children can enjoy the abundant life You created us for. Speak death to every evil plot against us, Lord, and LIFE to our families. We confess that we are weak, and we need Your strength. Give us courage to fight for the things that matter — for intimacy with You and to love others through Your love. Help us run in Your paths of life and to lead our children on them, as well. Restore unto us what the enemy has stolen, redeem what he has destroyed, and set our minds on You and on eternal things. 2 Corinthians 4. Lord, we confess that, at times, our words have not been words of life. Teach us to speak Your language, sowing Light in our children’s hearts, and into our spouses, our neighbors and even our enemies’ lives — encouraging, uplifting words that bring LIFE and blessing, grace, salvation and hope. Make us Your instruments to bring peace in the midst of war through Your bountiful love within us. In Your name. Amen.
