Russia has now invaded Ukraine from the north, south and east, with attacks on several cities, including the capital, Kyiv. The earthly war has begun. Let’s fight the spiritual one here.
Lord, we ask You, please, to get families to safety. Protect lives. As people run or seek shelter, when they cry out to You, hear them, O God, and save them. Remind them of Your steadfast love. Be their Shelter, their Strong Fortress. We ask for Your provision in miraculous ways for those who feel trapped. Empower Christians to stand strong in faith and love, and use them to share Your Good News with neighbors and others who are in danger or afraid. Raise up a mighty prayer force within Your church in the Ukraine and all throughout the world to push back the darkness and pray forth the Light. For those in positions of authority in every country making decisions right now, we ask for Your guidance. Put into place what needs to be in place for all nations to turn to You. Get up in Putin’s face, crush and push past the forces that drive him to violent aggression, and speak so loudly to him that his pride breaks and fear-of-the-Lord grips him and holds fast. Invade his thoughts. Haunt his mind. Destroy the enemy that is destroying him and pushing him to destroy those he determines are in his way. Wherever funds are placed to do evil, lock those accounts, making access impossible. But do not stop there, Lord. Pursue Zelensky and every other head of state all throughout the world. Invade their thoughts and lives in such powerful ways they cannot deny that You are God. Give them a hunger for You so strong that the desire to do what is right overcomes political agendas and they find themselves courageously following what You lead them to do. For the soldiers obeying orders, Lord, we ask You to please fight for their hearts. Talk to them, let them feel You near, and awaken them to Your loving purposes. We ask You for a great global awakening, Lord. Awaken Russia. Awaken the Ukraine. Awaken the US, China, and every other nation involved. March Your angel armies into every country, every home, every heart, urging people to turn to You now, before it’s too late. And flood the whole earth with Your glory.
