May Faith Arise

So many have lost hope. But God is still Good.
He is still the answer we’re looking for.
Only He can save us from the messes we’re in.
Only He can make something beautiful of it all.

Let’s pray Isaiah 51:6 for our loved ones, our leaders and our nation,

  • for the salvation of every lost person God brings to mind.
  • for our faith in God’s righteousness to rise.

Lord, we ask You, please, to draw our lost loved ones to You. Give them a hunger so deep they will seek You with all their heart and find You. We ask You also for our nation and leaders. So many stumble about in the darkness, spreading it wherever they go with every decision they make. Pierce the darkness with Your light, O God. Get up in their face. Invade their space. Show them who You are. Strike them with such fear-of-the-Lord they fall on their faces before You and surrender to the one true Sovereign One. Don’t let us lose hope, but continue prodding us to pray for faith to arise all across our nation, for a great awakening to Your love and a longing for Your righteousness that brings us closer and closer, until at last we step into Your heart and Your plans, as one with You and Your good purposes. Undo the wrongs done by the power of Your love, and make us new again. Renew our minds, renew our hearts, renew our marriages, our faith, our hope, our love. Restore our families, protect and establish our children in Your perfect purposes. Bring order to disorder, and re-establish this nation as one under God. Awaken us, O Father, to who we are meant to be. Awaken us to be Yours.

Let’s band together in prayer and build a wall of prayer to block the enemy’s plans, and bring forth God’s purposes in this nation and in the world. “For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:1 rsv
