Praying for Closed Nations

As we pray Isaiah 51:5, for God to bring His righteousness, salvation, justice, and hope in our own nation, let’s also remember the billions throughout the world facing fear and uncertainty in these difficult days, especially in nations closed to the Good News of Christ’s love. Most of these countries are poverty-stricken and war-torn, with oppressive (often Communist, Muslim, or other religious or violent) governments that make life difficult for the masses and even more difficult for those truly seeking God. Churches must meet in hiding, so even those who hunger to know Christ don’t know how to know Him.

Pray He will protect Christians from persecution, give the lost a hunger for Him, bring hope in the face of fear, justice in the face of injustice, salvation for the oppressed and the lost, and righteousness in place of evil and harm.
