God’s Word for Your 2022

What did God do in your life this past year? Did you ask Him at the beginning of 2021 for a word, verse, vision, purpose, or something else He wanted to speak over the year? How did He fulfill that?

The word the Lord gave us for 2021 was “Covering.” As I prayed with our family last January, I saw the angel of the Lord with wings spread wide across the whole year, the right tip touching the start and the left tip touching the end of the year, and just felt His peace, that He had this year covered. (For security reasons, last year we had to flee our home in the dark country where we were serving the Lord, and now we have no idea what He has for us next.) Other words He spoke over 2021 were “Protection. Patience. Hope. Provision. Supplement. Making up for lost time. Deliverance. My time is coming.”

He most definitely covered and protected us this last year. We have faced huge expenses we had no idea how to pay for, and He provided. He also provided a temporary home for us, as we had nowhere to live. (And the church providing it just told us we can stay longer! Praise God!) It is near our children, so we have definitely been “making up for lost time” being with them.

Has God given you a special verse or book of the Bible as a theme for 2022? How will you purpose to draw all the closer to Him, and let His love flow through you to others this coming year? Ask Him. And then share with us in the comments. It will be exciting to look back at the end of the year and see how He did that.

No matter how you weathered last year, 2022 can be filled with power and wonder if you let Jesus transform you. We all face trials. But the difference for those who walk with God is we get to go through them in His arms, and come out the other side changed.

As you step into the new year, ask the Lord if He has a special word, verse or something else He wants to say. Purpose to make every plan His
