Tensions are high these days. It’s easy to take your anger out on those you love. Please don’t do it. They are not your enemy.
You do most definitely have an enemy. But it is not your family or even people at all. Ephesians 6:10-18. Please take the time you need to unplug. Stop the heated speeches about your current opinion. Fast from the news or whatever is causing tension. And get alone with God. Hand Him all that turmoil in your heart and mind. Philippians 4:4-9. You’re going to need His peace and His solutions both now and in the days ahead.
There is a way through this, and it’s on your knees. If you walk through present events swinging verbal fists at your family and friends, you are fighting on the wrong side.
This is a spiritual battle, not an earthly one, and you must fight it with spiritual weapons. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. The greatest of which is love. 1 Corinthians 13.
Lord, please help us use our power of influence to spread love, not hatred; peace not anxiety; and joy, not pain.
