About 28 of Ukraine’s 78 people groups are unreached with the Gospel. In addition, this has long been a region of conflict and oppression, which the current pandemic and tension on the border of Russia has only made all the more difficult. Let’s pray for God’s purposes to prevail and for millions to come to Christ.
Lord, we ask You to descend upon the troops at the border of Ukraine. Walk among their camps, drawing every eye to You. Visit them in their dreams at night, and speak to them all throughout the day. Draw them to Yourself, O Prince of Peace. Show them what is right and what is wrong, and give them courage to choose right. Give wisdom to those in charge who give orders, and stop every evil plan of the enemy. Be a Shield around the Ukrainian people an bring forth Your purposes in this region. Guard them from harm in such a way that they know You are the One watching over them. Give them a deep longing for Your love and protection. When they face trials, urge them to cry out to You for help, and then meet them in powerful ways. Rescue the children who are in harm’s way. Place the orphans in loving homes and set them free from the spirit of abandonment. Save the daughters from prostitution and slavery. Save the mothers and the fathers, set them free from the strongholds that bind them to enemy purposes, and raise up families that will love You with all their hearts, shining like beacons in the darkness and drawing all the more people to Your light. Bring forth a great revival in that nation, O God. Pursue every heart so deeply and purely that they will see You coming for them and run into Your arms. Make a way for every person to hear Your message of grace such that they clearly understand. Lift the veil from their eyes so they will see You as You truly are. Whatever they’ve been standing on that is not You, pull that apart before them, Lord, until they realize You are the One they’ve been searching for. Tear down their walls of secularism and religion. Invade their space with waves of Your love so powerful idols topple in Your presence, as You set up Your throne in every heart. Awaken Ukraine to Your love, O God. Awaken them to Your salvation. Awaken them to You.
