O Lord, if ever there was a time for Your church to rise up and shine, to throw off the bushels we’ve hidden Your light beneath, it is now. Matthew 5:14-16. Give us the mind of Christ to stop our bickering against one another about the things we actually agree upon, and to pray in unity and in Your power. Let Your Light shine so brightly in this present darkness that the masses will be drawn to You like moths to a flame. Father, we ask You now, please lift the veil from our eyes. Let us see the true battle that is raging. For “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12. Give us eyes to see what You’re doing and join You there. Ears to hear what You’re saying and submit. Mouths to speak Your words and overcome darkness with Light; lies with Truth; hatred and destruction and violence with love and peace. Show us what satan is doing. Let us see straight through the chaos and distraction to streamline our prayers and target the true problem, bringing forth Your right resolution. Empower us to hit the mark. Every prayer. Every thought. Every word spoken. Every action taken. Every key pressed. Wherever the flame of our passion for You has dwindled, reignite it now. Reign in us and over us and through us. Do not let us be swayed this way or that by the voices that scream all around us. Silence the lies, and take down the enemy. Fine-tune our ears to heed only Yours. Destroy satan’s plans, such that destruction and chaos fall upon him now, and we are released from our entanglement in his schemes. Let us hear You clearly, for You alone are Life. You are the One we are clamoring for; we just haven’t realized it yet. Make us strong and courageous to fight the right fight. John 1:1-5, 10:10, 16:33
