The more we surrender to Christ and walk as one with Him, the greater resistance we will experience not just from the world, but from within the church.
Have you felt it yet?
We have a real enemy. But it is not the verses that don’t fit into our agendas. And it’s not the brother or sister who is calling us back to Truth and Love. It’s not even the person who’s attacking us or fighting against God’s Word.
Our enemy is Satan, and His aim is to keep us from oneness with Christ and with His body. Don’t let him use you to do his dirty work.
Lord, search my heart and show me any way I’ve allowed the enemy to use me to hurt others or sway them from Truth. In what ways have I run after my own agendas rather than Christ’s, or let my anger or bitterness control my tongue and reactions rather than Your Holy Spirit? Today, Lord, show me how to love those You’ve placed in my path. Fill me to overflowing with Your grace, so that my words are a demonstration of the transformational power of Your love.
If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.
