Tension has risen in East Asia since Friday, as China has flown 149 aircraft inside Taiwan’s air defense zone, including 56 yesterday. (Communist China considers democratic Taiwan a breakaway province.) Let’s pray now, in the midst of earthly conflict, for God’s divine purposes.
Lord, we thank You for the freedom Christians have had to worship You and share Your Good News these past decades in Taiwan. Strengthen Your children now, and grow Your church. Wherever there is fear, replace it with faith. Wherever there is anxiety, replace it with Your peace. Be a canopy over Your church, a Shield of protection over those who seek You. Raise up prayer groups who will intercede for Your purposes, and give them Your battle plans. Father, far too long the powers of darkness have bound the people of Taiwan to spirit worship and fear. Lift the veil from the eyes of the people now, Lord, so they will see You as You truly are. Raise up Christians all throughout the nation who will go door-to-door praying for those who are hurting, healing the sick through Your miraculous power, sharing Your Gospel with glorious displays of the vast measures of Your love, and drawing those who have long fought against You up into your saving arms of grace. Break the chains that bind the people of Taiwan to demonic strongholds. Set them free to worship You alone. Make Your church a place of refuge, inviting the lost, the scared, the hurting, the sinners into Your grace and love. Only You know what is to come, O Lord. Awaken Taiwan to You, and save the lost before it is too late.
