In my quiet time one day, the Lord gave me a vision. As I worshipped Him before His throne, He said to me, “Turn around.”
I turned to see thousands of people joining me there at His feet in worship. I recognized some of them. The taxi driver who came to the Lord on one of my trips. An exchange student from Japan. And others I remembered leading to Christ. But some were just people I smiled at once or did something kind for. Hundreds in that throng dressed in the native clothes of the people group the Lord called us to, although I only recognized a few of them. In fact, most of the thousands there with me before the throne I didn’t recognize at all.
“Lord, who are these?” I asked Him.
“These are those who are here because you were faithful.”
“But how, Lord?” At that point in my life when the vision occurred, I’d only led a few people to the Lord. How could there be thousands?
He explained that every prayer, every act of love led others further along on their journey to Him. Then, as some chose to follow the Lord, they told others about Him, who in turn told others, who told yet more….
It matters, dear sons and daughters of the King. That you loved. That you shared. That you raised those children up to love the Lord. That you were faithful.
Today, let’s pray for opportunities to share His love with the lost, and take them.
