Growing in Love

In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus gave this one command in two parts:

LOVE. Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. And love others as you love yourself.

He said that if you are doing these things, then you are doing everything God asks of you.

So, how are we doing with that these days?

Lord, help us see the ways we have run after ambition rather than love. Where we’ve given in to strongholds, rather than to Your Holy Spirit. Where we have chosen the easy way out rather than stepping up to be there for the ones You’ve given under our care. Empower us today, Lord, to take down every wall and run into Your arms, so that everything we do comes as an outpouring of our love for You and Your love in us. Grow us and everyone around us together in Love as one today. In Your name. Amen.
