Lord, we ask You today for our fathers, both earthly and spiritual. Bless them abundantly, and draw them all the closer to You. Show them the ways You want to use them for Your glory, and give them courage to step out in those things and to do everything in Your empowering. Lead them to lead their wives and families into deeper depths with You. Equip them with the resources they need to lead in family worship and Bible reading, and to grow their children up to love You with all their hearts. Tear down any pride, anger, misunderstandings, selfishness, defensiveness, or anything else that creates barriers between them and those they love. Set them free from every stronghold and raise them up to be leaders in their communities, gathering up their whole family to minister to others together as one, feeding the poor, helping those who are hurting, prayer walking their neighborhoods, showing hospitality, sharing the Good News, and loving everyone around them. Provide for them just the jobs You have for them, bless them abundantly in their work, and give them favor with their bosses and all their coworkers. Use them in mighty ways to draw others to You in the workplace. Give them a deep desire to study and teach Your Word, lead out in church activities, and love their families well. Show them meaningful activities they can do with each of their children so they will grow up knowing they are loved and follow after You all the days of their lives.
Heavenly Father, we also pray for the fathers who don’t know You yet. Give them a longing for You so strong they will lay down everything they’ve been running after and surrender their all to You.
