In Acts 2, during Pentecost (which we celebrated yesterday), the Spirit came upon the apostles like fire, and they began preaching in the tongues of those gathered there “from every nation under heaven” (Acts 2:5), leading thousands to faith in Christ.
Those languages and countries are many of the very places in the world that are [not] closed off to the Gospel message (See Acts 2:9-11)….
I wrote this message above in several posts yesterday, but only today saw the typo. I meant to write “now” instead of “not.” That post went out to thousands in several avenues of social media. So, at first, I was highly annoyed at the enemy, because it gives the exact opposite meaning of what I was trying to say.
Then the Lord spoke to my heart: “No, My beloved. I am asking My people to proclaim this as truth over those nations and unreached peoples. That they are NOT cut off from My Gospel. For I am speaking — louder now than ever before, louder even than on that day of Pentecost. I am visiting them in their dreams and telling them My truth. I am giving them a hunger for Me not satisfied by the violence, abuse, and empty religious rituals they endure. I am propelling each heart into My hands, offering them salvation and abundant life. I am opening up social media so they can find Christians who will share with them and the Gospel message clearly presented. I am getting the message to them through Christians who show such a pure display of My love that they cannot miss it—unless they want to. For I do not force them to love Me. My invitation is wide open: ‘Come, drink of My Living Water, and be satisfied; you will never thirst again. For I am the One you are thirsting for; I am the One you have sought your whole life. And I am here, now. I am the Life you have hoped for. And I am waiting to breathe My life into yours so you will truly live.'”
Once again, He left me in awe.
I had corrected the word “not” in one post before He spoke the contrary, but I shall now leave the rest as is.
O Jesus, may it be so. Preach Your truth in every tongue in every language under Heaven, for what seems impossible unto man is not through You. Through You, all things are possible. We ask You now for signs and miracles and wonders, for dreams and visions from Your heart, for each one to hear Your Good News in their own heart language, for millions — even billions — to place their faith in You, for Your Kingdom to come to every nation and every heart all throughout the earth, and for every door and heart closed to now be open, in the name of Jesus!
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. 5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearingJews from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7 Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? 9 Parthians (today’s region of Khorāsān in Iran), Medes (today’s Kurds) and Elamites (far west and southwest of modern-day Iran, stretching from the lowlands of what is now Khuzestan); residents of Mesopotamia (modern-day Iraq and parts of Iran, Syria and Turkey and known as the Fertile Crescent), Judea (southern part of the region of Israel and part of the West Bank) and Cappadocia (central Anatolia, in the heartland of what is now Turkey), Pontus (eastern Black Sea Region of Turkey) and Asia, 10 Phrygia (west central part of Anatolia, in what is now Asian Turkey, centred on the Sangarios River) and Pamphylia (southern coast of modern Turkey), Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene (North African coast near present-day Shahhat, a town in north-eastern Libya); visitors from Rome 11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” 12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”
Acts 2:1-12 NIV
Jesus, tell them clearly the meaning of Your love, Your sacrifice, and the abundant life You offer through those who place their faith in You.
