Pray for Niger

Because of recent world events, let’s lift up Niger today.

Lord, we cry out to You for those who have lost loved ones to Islamic violence in Niger these past few weeks. Stop the violence, Lord. Bring terrorists to their knees before Almighty God, and protect the innocent. So many people are already facing poverty and other hardship, Lord. Have mercy on these villagers. Heal those who have been wounded, and do so in such a miraculous way, all will know that You are the One who healed them. Meet both persecutors and their victims in such dramatic ways, they will turn to You and be saved. Visit them in their dreams at night. Make a way for them to hear Your Good News in a language they can easily understand. Give them a hunger for something more, something true, something good, something worthy. Give them a longing for You, Jesus, and then come in and fulfill that longing with Yourself. May they seek You with all their hearts and find You. Jeremiah 29:13. Open their spiritual eyes to see You as You truly are, turn from their wicked ways, and surrender to You alone as God. Overpower hatred and evil with Your love, grace, mercy, truth, and goodness. Give wisdom to Niger’s newly elected leader to know how to help those who are in trouble and bring an end to the violence. Be a Shield around every village soon to be targeted, and make Your angels so visible, the violent offenders will stop their planned attacks and flee in fear of the Lord.

Join with other believers all across the world to pray for our nations and the whole world at the #PrayerWall, Let’s push back the darkness together as one, and pray forth God’s purposes in these trying times. “For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:1 rsv
