Lord, we ask You for those throughout the world who are oppressed. Comfort them. Meet them in their anguish, and show them Your great love. May those who have had no way to hear about Your salvation experience it now, Lord. For You are their Creator. You formed them to know You, to enjoy You, and to draw others into Your love. But so many have been cut off from Your Good News, and have fallen prey to those stronger than they. They are abused, tortured, beaten down, run out of their homes, discriminated against. They live constantly in fear. Set them free now, O Lord, with Your perfect love that drives out all fear. 1 John 4:18. Meet them in such powerful ways they will know it is You who rescues them. Crush their oppressors, set the captives free, and draw the nations to You, Lord. Don’t let one more prisoner die without the opportunity to know Your salvation.
Let’s band together in prayer and build a wall of prayer to block the enemy’s plans, and bring forth God’s purposes in this nation and in the world. “For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:1 rsv
