Lord, we ask You to draw us into deeper love, into oneness with each other and with You. For our enemy seeks to divide marriages, families, and churches, and then put us on display before the world to show them that we’re really no different than they are, that in fact, we’re worse, because we preach love and yet we quarrel and fight and betray. O God, empower us to truly SHINE. Give us courage to set aside our differences and LOVE, even as You have first loved us. Begin within our families, and then push us beyond those borders out into the darkness with Your light, loving the unlovely, rescuing the hurting, praying for our enemies, forgiving those who trespass against us. Is there anyone You have placed in our path to love that we have stepped over, around, or upon? Show us, Father. Transform our hearts to turn around now, and LOVE with all YOUR heart within us.
