Lord, overcome the darkness with Your Light. Shine into every corner of our hearts, and transform us. Set us free from the things that bind us to darkness, and make us into a people after Your own heart. Raise up leaders who walk in integrity, virtue, uprightness, humility, kindness, courage, and faith in You. Give the people of this nation such a hunger for truthfulness and trustworthiness that we will recognize it, choose it, and become it ourselves. Have mercy on us, O Lord, for we are in need of You. Grab hold of the hearts of our leaders, and turn them to You. Announce to them Your Truth in their dreams and all throughout the day, destroying every lie and drawing them into Your loving purposes. Turn them from dark agendas to Your light. Give them courage to stand up for what is right, and wisdom to make the changes that need to happen to get there.
