Romans 13:1 says, “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” As our president appoints the members of his cabinet and other government positions, we ask You, Lord, to guide him and guide the Senate and others as they choose whether to approve of certain positions or not. Put in place leaders who will hunger for You, do what is right and good, and follow Your lead. Meet each of these men and women in powerful ways. Save those who are lost, and empower those who love You to shine for You and bring forth Your purposes. Draw every heart to Yourself, and do what You desire in this nation and in the world. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
